And more importantly, for the first time ever, we have a perfect view of them from our apartment. We have space for one or two other families, so if you don't have a good viewing spot and are a KidCity enthusiast, please email us. Macy's suggests these places for free public viewing. Top Twitter Apps & Tools for Families (Parents really)

Top Twitter Tools for Families refollow

Twitter is an incredible tool. After trying out over 35 tools, I've come up with my list of the top 10 Twitter tools making life easier for family users. Got a fave we didn't list? Put it in the comments!

  1. TwitterKeys
    • Easy way to enhance your Twiiter conversations by adding decorative characters (e.g. crowns, flowers musical notes).
  2. Refollow
    • By far the BEST follower management system. Best user interface, easiest way to see who follows you, who you follow, who you used to follow, latest tweets and more--and the easiest, best way to bulk unfollow or follow people. I LOVE it!
  3. Tweetr
    • Share files up to 10MB simply by dragging it on to your tweetr window.
  4. Twitalyzer
    • Get detailed feedback on how you are doing relative to what your goals are. For example, twitterers whose main goal is to connect to others can measure their "generosity" (sort of the rate of their retweeting).
  5. Twitter Digest
    • Enter your favorite Tweeters and get a daily digest of their messages sent to your email, RSS reader or just see it as a webpage.
  6. Twuffer
    • Schedule future tweets with a simple and aesthetically appealing tool.
  7. Twisten.fm
    • The ideal twitter tool for music lovers: shows all the tweets about music.
  8. Twitpic
    • Share photos over Twitter from anywhere (iPhone, computer anywhere).
  9. Nest Unclutterer
    • Protects your privacy from pyramid marketers, eliminates people who are only following you to get a follow back. Keeps your Twitter real!
  10. Twellow
    • Twitter Yellowpages useful for discovering new tweeters in areas of interest.
  11. 150 more
    • This is a BRILLIANT list of many more tools including backgrounds for twitter, making tweets longer than 140 charaters, and more. This is an excellent resource.
