Doing WDW Disneyworld Right!

in Beyond NYC

Disney brought me down to Orlando to learn more about their volunteerism initiative, Give A Day, Get a Disney Day, and to learn what’s new for 2010. For the next few posts, I am reporting from Orlando.

KidCity’s members, largely iconoclastic cynics, initially bristle at the Disney experience. Myself included. Institutions of any sort are looked at with skepticism, those catering to a huge mainstream market more so. The happiest place on earth ostensibly does not need to declare itself such.

I’m not here to convert you into a pin-wearing, annual pass holding, Disney Devotee.

Instead, I’m going to show you how, when it comes time to Do Disney, as it inevitably will, to make it a truly fabulous experience. There are some new elements and upgrades that really enhance the experience and there are some things you are very unlikely to know about unless you read this series of articles–even the majority of travel agents don’t know.

So stay tuned over the next few days…
